A series of three films we helped create with Mixtape Club for HBO about the amazing Henrietta Lacks to promote the HBO original film. It was a pleasure researching the subject to help shed light on such an amazing person and topic. We used the works of Jacob Lawrence as inspiration. Both for their conceptual and aesthetic relevance to Henrietta's life. 

If you haven’t read the book, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot which the film is based on…. you definitely should!
