Charcoal Series

Synopsis:

When Iā€™m not working on commissioned projects in the studio I use that time to explore independent work and art that further expands upon my independent voice as an artist and filmmaker. This series of charcoal drawings is just that. To take a break from the screen I started making larger charcoal drawings of people all on 18in x 24in sheets of papers.

The result was an interesting exploration not only in character design but also in narrative explored in single moments. Moments that point to a possible narrative before and after the image depicted that we are left to wonder about but never know.
